Archive material from 2009 event appears below

Leeds Steam Spectacular is a two/three day annual event which is held at Temple Newsam Country Park, east of the City of Leeds, Northern England. Leeds Steam Spectacular is a display of vintage and steam powered vehicles with a vintage steam powered Fair Ground.

GB2TER callsign is currently held by Andy M0GGR on behalf of GX4NOK but please QSL via M0WBH

The station operates HF and VHF 80m to 70cms. The HF antenna comprises 80/40m fan dipole and a 5-band ‘Cobweb’. We have recently rebuilt a 2-element 5-band yagi ready for the 2010 special events. The VHF antenna consists of 6m, 2m and 70cms beams and dipoles and a 3-band vertical co-linear.

Our main antennas are supported by trailer or Land Rover mounted towers and the trailer tower with stub mast gives 21m (70ft) of elevation. Radios are Kenwood TS570D or Yaesu FT1000MP Mk V Field for HF and club members provide VHF radios as required. 2009 also saw the station running an Elekraft K2 qrp station on HF PSK31, more data modes are planned for 2010.
